  • Who do I contact regarding goods delivery and logistics?

    Sofia Abrahamsson

    Logistics Manager

    sofia.abrahamsson@charm.chalmers.se

    What is the delivery address?

Your delivery address depends on which building your booth is located in. You have received your delivery address in the email “CHARM Logistics 2024”.

Can I change my choice of delivery?

No, this is no longer possible.

    What is Express Delivery?

The times for delivery and pick-up are limited to the opening hours for the goods reception, which means that it can be difficult for independent shipping companies to adhere to the requirements. Express delivery is a shipping company that CHARM cooperates with to make the handling of goods easier.

Where can you stop to offload/onload your fair materials?

You are welcome to offload your goods without blocking roads, emergency exits or loading docks.

We are bringing our goods by ourselves. When can we come to set up our booth?

You will be given the possibility to prepare your booth either on the day before the fair or on the first day of the fair.

Monday, February 5 : If you wish to arrive the day before the fair, you are welcome to do so between 13:00 and 18:00. We will make sure that your pre-ordered booth additions (plants, chairs etc) as well as your fair materials (if you have sent them beforehand) are in your assigned booth space at 13:00.

Tuesday, February 6 : For same-day set-up we strongly recommend that you arrive as early as possible to ensure plenty of time to prepare. The area will be open between 07:00 and 08:30, and will then be cleared for a final check.

We are sending our fair materials with Express Delivery Sweden. How do we proceed?

Please refer to the email “CHARM Logistics 2024” for more instructions regarding the shipment of your booth materials with EDS.

Shipping costs for delivery with EDS vary depending on parcel size and shipping distance, and the price will be determined by EDS when you book the delivery with them. The shipping costs will be invoiced by EDS.

We are sending our fair materials with a company other than Express Delivery. How do we proceed?

Please refer to the email “CHARM Logistics 2024” for more instructions regarding the shipment of your booth materials with a transportation company.

When is the goods reception open?

For goods shipped with a transportation company, the goods reception is only open from Tuesday, January 30 to Friday, February 2. The opening hours are between 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00. Any deliveries made outside of the goods reception’s opening hours can not be guaranteed handling.

It is very important that the driver knows about the opening hours and contact person to the storage, as well as your company’s name! You will find the names of the people responsible for the storage where your materials will be stored in the email “CHARM Logistics 2024”.

Our fair materials will be sent from Uniaden. Is there anything we need to do?

Uniaden takes care of sending your fair materials to CHARM in time. We handle all the contact with them, so there is nothing you need to worry about. If you still have some questions, please contact Uniden’s Logistics Manager Alice Lidström at logistik@uniaden.com.

Our fair materials will be sent from LARV. Is there anything we need to do?

Which time should we book the pick-up of our fair materials?

The delivery company of your choice will be able to pick-up your fair materials on the day after the fair, February 8, between 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00. A transport company will not be able to pick up your materials on the same day as the fair - it is only possible on the day after the fair.

What happens if our fair materials do not get picked up in the set time?

CHARM is not responsible for goods that are not picked up within the assigned time and with every missed day of pick-up, CHARM will be charging a fee.

A shipping company other than Express Delivery will be picking up our fair materials. What do we need to do?

The fair area will stay open after 15:00 for you to get your fair materials ready for shipping. This includes attaching return steps on each of your parcels! We really appreciate them being packed as quickly as possible since the deconstruction of the fair will take place directly after closing. You will then leave your goods in your assigned booth where the Logistics team will take care of them until your shipping company picks them up the next day. Our materials are being picked up by Express Delivery. What do we need to do?

After you have picked up your fair materials, you just leave them behind in your assigned booth space. We will take care of your fair materials and handle the return with Express Delivery, including return slips.

Is there somebody who can help us during set-up and packing up?

If you have any questions or need help during set-up, your assigned Corporate Host will be there to assist. Within our possibilities, Logistics Hosts will be able to help as well.

Our goods are being sent directly to LARM. How will this work?

After you have packed up your fair materials, you just leave them behind in your assigned booth space. We will then take care of transporting your fair materials to LARM, you don't need to worry about a thing. We will handle the transportation in cooperation with Express Delivery Sweden.

If you choose this transportation option, you will get an email from Logistics Manager Sofia Abrahamsson closer to the fair where you have to confirm the number of parcels that will be shipped, their size and weight, and also if they are stackable or not. This is so that the information can be forwarded to Express Delivery Sweden.

How much does shipping to LARM cost?

The shipping costs to LARM are difficult to determine beforehand, as it depends on how many companies choose this option.

  • How does the check-in process for exhibitors work ?

Will name tags for company representatives be provided by CHARM ?

No, name tags will not be provided.

  • Why have we been given this booth location ?

There are a lot of fair areas at CHARM that vary in size and roof heights, spread over different buildings and floors. When making the booth placement we consider practical things such the need for electricity, the requested height of the booth and any special requests and requirements from the Final Application.

We also try to make sure that each fair area has a broad range of different companies. CHARM does not have any special focus areas with companies from just one industry. This is because many exhibitors look for students from many different programs and we want the students to visit as much of the fair as possible.

Can we change our booth location ?

Requests for where you want your booth to be located can be in the Final Application (which has closed now) and when making the booth placement we try to fulfil these requests as best as we can. At this point, we can only make minor changes to booth placements and only for very specific reasons.

Please note that CHARM does not have a “main building” or “main fair area”. All areas are marketed equally to the students and we try to make sure that we have a lot of visiting students at all areas of the fair.

  • How can you reach our students but still safeguard the environment?

We work actively to reduce the environmental impact of the fair and hope that you wish to contribute. These recommendations can also help you understand which items that students will actively use to add greater value for your company.

    Disposable plastics

Reducing the usage of disposable plastics. We ask you to avoid handout materials in plastic to the greatest possible extent. We wish for you to:

    • Avoid handing out plastic bottles in favour of glass bottles or thermoses.

    • Avoid handing out candy and other products wrapped in plastic.

    • Try to keep your coupons and catalogues in digital format.

    Quality of the products

Unfortunately there are several items that are handed out that are not used and a big reason is the quality of the product. Items of better quality are used by the students but items of plastic or lesser quality can be wastefully thrown away. It is often better to hand out fewer but better products.

    Rethink the concept

Instead of handing out merch to all students, you can hold a competition where you can win bigger prizes. This creates interest while still minimizing the amount of items that are not used

    Choose products that are used

It can be hard to know what products are actively used by students if given to them. That is why we have created a list of items that are often used or not used by students.

Examples of items that are often appreciated and well-used if they are of good quality:

    • Lunchbox (of glass or metal)

    • Thermos

    • Water bottle (of glass or metal)

    • Study materials (whiteboard pen, pen, notepad, pencil case, post-it notes etc)

    • First aid kit

    • Umbrella

    • Spork

    • Food (like candy, pantry items etc.)

    • Drinks (like energy drinks, coffee, tea, soft drinks etc.)

    • Computer case (of good quality and discrete logo)

    • Technology (of good quality)

    • Power bank, Charger, Mouse pad etc.

    • Fabric tote bag (good quality)

    • Household items (dish cloth, dish brush etc.)

    • Hygiene products of travel size

    • Games (Deck of cards, minigames, ping pong balls etc.)

    • Etc.

Examples of items that are often not used

    • Flyers, paper merch

    • Bottle opener

    • Stickers

    • Key chain

    • Etc.

If you are not sure about what merch to choose, you are welcome to contact us and discuss it further. Together we can create an environmentally friendly career fair.

  • Can I use public transportation to get to the fair?

For those who use public transport, we refer to Västtrafik. The tram/bus stop closest to the fair is named Chalmers. Download the app Västtrafik To Go for recommended travel routes and ticket purchases.

There is good communication between the fair and the Central Station as well as Landvetter Airport. There is an airport bus that will take you directly to and from the airport and stops at Korsvägen. Korsvägen is just one tram stop from the fair.

  • Where is there parking near the fair?

There will be a shortage of parking lots near Chalmers and we therefore recommend that you do not take your car to the fair. If you do, there are regular parking lots at the Chalmers area and adjacent to Chalmers. These listed parking areas may cost between 5 and 15 SEK/hr. The ones we recommend are:
